Dude this is not weird at all, it sounds like you guys are memorable enough to each other to continue a friendly banter. There's no harm in at least trying to talk to her man, I absolutely say go for it. This isn't some girl you're meeting at a bar or anything, this could actually develop given the cirstances, go for it!
