Do vet techs deal with euthanasia?

I think I want to be a vet tech when I grow up, however I definitely could not be the one putting any animal to sleep, especially healthy ones, do vet techs have to do that? Working at a clinic, what would a vet techs job be? I've heard that it is a lot of rotating, sometimes working at the front desk, other times giving owners the pricing on things, sometimes weighing animals and preparing them for examination, is this basically true? Oh, and if any answerer's are vet techs, do you like your job? Thank you for your help.:)
