Can a hooded rat and a fancy rat cross breed?

Any "types" of rats can certainly breed, however, I suggest you leave this to the experts! Rehoming rats can be an extremely difficult thing to do. Out of 14 pet rats, 12 of them are rescues. Insane, isn't it? There are far too many "unwanted" litters these days. Leave the breeding to breeders who breed animals to improve genetics.
