HIgh School Electives!! HELPPP?

Okay! so im in 8th grade and i have to choose electives like pronto. I am deciding on Intro to Art/ Drawing/sketching and Painting. But there is also Band. I am HORRIBLE at band, so i really don't think i want to take it... but i want to go to a college, that an IVY LEAGUE would consider in excepting, I want to go medical and be a anesthesiologist and go into the kind of work area so i no neither art or band matters for medical... but which one would be better. I heard from numerous people that playing an instrument is good on your transcript, but ive seen on soe college websites that they dont really care what other activity you did, jus tthat you showed interest in it and participateed fully. i really enjoy art, and i liked it since i was little so its fun. and for band ive played it since 4th grade... quit in 7th. and then if i join band im playing for the first time in 2 years. so which one would be better? Does it even matter? HELPP!!!
