I want to become an animator, but can only go to a UC or CSU, what courses should I take?

Being in my last year of my BFA Character Animation program, I can give you some ideas. Take drawing cles (Life Drawing, perspective, etc) For animation cles, try and see if your school has at some traditional animation courses, and take some 3D cles as well. Computer Science is probably not going to help you much. Once you know your basic animation techniques, you can apply it to any medium.
